Є люди, чию велич визначають не звання чи нагороди, а справи. Вони працюють там, де бачать потребу, говорять про те, про що важливо не мовчати, і створюють власні проєкти, щоб привертати увагу до людей та історій, які не можна залишити без уваги. Ольга Шахін — саме така людина. Підприємиця, громадська діячка, меценатка, депутатка Тернопільської міської ради, голова ТОГО «Підприємці Галичини» та ГО «Асоціація жінок України «Дія.Тернопіль», авторка й ведуча телевізійних проєктів «Ангели війни» та «Будь взаємно» на телеканалі «Тернопіль1».
Її діяльність — це не просто перелік напрямів. У центрі кожної справи — людина, її історія, біль, боротьба, допомога іншим або бажання змінити щось навколо себе.
Історії, які мають бути почуті
Особливе місце серед усіх напрямів діяльності Ольги посідає проєкт «Ангели війни». Це історії українських захисників, які загинули, боронячи нашу державу.
Але в кожному випуску йдеться не лише про військову біографію чи обставини загибелі. За кожним Героєм — людина. Син, донька, чоловік, батько, брат. Друг. Професіонал. Людина зі своїми звичками, мріями та планами. Саме через особисті історії родин і близьких проєкт повертає Героям те, чого не може передати жодна статистика, — їхню людяність.
Пам’ять живе тоді, коли ми знаємо імена, пам’ятаємо обличчя і розповідаємо дітям про тих, хто захищав Україну. Для Ольги «Ангели війни» — це літопис людських життів, які стали частиною великої історії України.
«Будь взаємно» — про людей, які поруч
Ще один авторський проєкт Ольги Шахін — «Будь взаємно». Його ідея особливо актуальна в час війни, коли підтримка одне одного стала необхідною умовою нашої стійкості. Це історії людей, які не чекають особливого моменту, щоб бути корисними. Хтось допомагає військовим, хтось підтримує дітей, хтось розвиває волонтерські ініціативи, а хтось просто щодня робить свою роботу так, щоб від неї ставало краще іншим.
«Будь взаємно» говорить про важливу річ: взаємна підтримка починається з особистого вибору.
Іноді достатньо запитати: «Чим я можу допомогти?» А далі — зробити крок.
«Дія» — це про людей
Окреме місце в діяльності Ольги займає ГО «Асоціація жінок України «Дія.Тернопіль». Це середовище, у якому жінки з різним досвідом і професійними знаннями об’єднуються навколо спільних ідей.
Ольга говорить про жіноче лідерство не як про боротьбу за першість. Для неї важливіше — об’єднати людей, побачити сильні сторони кожної та разом створити те, що було б складніше зробити поодинці. Сила проявляється у відповідальності, здатності почати справу й довести її до результату, готовності чути інших і вмінні залишатися людиною, навіть коли навколо багато складних рішень.
За публічністю завжди залишається людина
У 2024 році Ольга Шахін отримала національну премію «Гордість України» в номінації «Жінка року». Та будь-яка нагорода — лише один із пунктів біографії. Набагато більше про людину говорять справи, які вона продовжує робити тоді, коли камер уже немає. Сьогодні від жінки часто очікують, що вона має бути сильною завжди: встигати, організовувати, допомагати, підтримувати інших і водночас не показувати втоми.
Але справжня сила не в тому, щоб ніколи не втомлюватися, а в тому, щоб мати можливість зупинитися, відновитися і знову рухатися вперед.
Її формула — любов до життя
На запитання про джерело власного ресурсу Ольга відповідає просто — любов до життя.
«Любіть життя, вірте в людей, не бійтеся мріяти масштабно», — говорить вона.
Її історія — не про кількість проєктів чи відзнак. Вона про вибір. Вибір пам’ятати. Вибір підтримувати. Вибір говорити про важливе. Вибір об’єднувати людей. І, зрештою, вибір діяти тоді, коли можна було б просто пройти повз.
Саме з таких виборів і складається портрет сучасної жінки — чутливої, вимогливої до себе, небайдужої, здатної мріяти масштабно і водночас починати зміни з конкретної справи.

OLHA SHAHIN: A WOMAN WHO TURNS INDIFERENCE INTO ACTION
Тhere are people whose greatness is determined not by titles or awards, but by deeds. They work where they see a need, speak about what is important not to be silent about, and create their own projects to draw attention to people and stories that cannot be ignored. Olha Shahin is exactly such a person. An entrepreneur, public figure, philanthropist, deputy of the Ternopil City Council, head of the TRNGO «Entrepreneurs of Galicia» and the NGO “Association of Women of Ukraine “Diia.Ternopil”, author and host of the television projects “Angels of War” and “Be Mutual” on the TV channel “Ternopil1”.
Her work is not just a list of directions. There is a person, their story, pain, struggle, helping others, or the desire to change something around them at the centre of each case.
Stories that need to be heard
A special place among all areas of Olha’s activity is occupied by the project “Angels of War”. These are the stories of Ukrainian defenders who died defending our state.
But each issue is not only about military biography or the circumstances of death. There is a person behind each Hero – a son, daughter, husband, father, brother, friend, professional. A person with their own habits, dreams and plans. It is through the personal stories of families and loved ones that the project returns to the Heroes something that no statistics can convey – their humanity.
Memory lives when we know the names, remember the faces and tell children about those who defended Ukraine. For Olha, “Angels of War” is a chronicle of human lives that have become part of the great history of Ukraine.
“Be Mutual” – about people who are close
Another author’s project by Olha Shahin is “Be Mutual”. Its idea is especially relevant in times of war, when supporting each other has become a necessary condition for our resilience. These are stories of people who do not wait for a special moment to be useful. Someone helps the military, someone supports children, someone develops volunteer initiatives, and someone simply does their work every day in such a way that it makes better for others.
“Be Mutual” says an important thing: mutual support begins with a personal choice.
Sometimes it is enough to ask: “How can I help?” And then take a step.
“Diia” (action) is about people
A special place in Olha’s activities is occupied by the NGO “Association of Women of Ukraine “Diia.Ternopil”. This is an environment in which women with different experience and professional knowledge unite around common ideas. Olha speaks of female leadership not as a struggle for supremacy. For her, it is more important to unite people, see the strengths of each and together create something that would be more difficult to do alone. Strength is manifested in responsibility, the ability to start an action and bring it to a result, the willingness to listen to others and the ability to remain human, even when there are many difficult decisions around.
Behind the publicity there is always a person
In 2024, Olha Shahin received the national award “Pride of Ukraine” in the nomination “Woman of the Year”. But any award is just one of the points of the biography. Much more is said about a person by the things that she continues to do when the cameras are no longer there. Today, a woman is often expected to be strong always: to have time, organise, help, support others and at the same time not show fatigue.
But real strength is not in never getting tired, but in having the opportunity to stop, recover and move forward again.
Her formula is love for life
When asked about the source of her own resources, Olha answers simply — love for life.
“Love life, believe in people, don’t be afraid to dream big,” she says.
Her story is not about the number of projects or awards. It is about choice – the choice to remember; the choice to support; the choice to talk about what is important; the choice to unite people; and, ultimately, the choice to act when you could just walk by.
It is from such choices that the portrait of a modern woman is made – sensitive, demanding of herself, caring, able to dream big and at the same time start changes with a specific case.
