Марина Зеленська: «Медицина для мене — це відповідальність, професіоналізм, повага до життя та любов до своєї справи, пронесена крізь усе життя»

Понад чверть століття Марина Зеленська присвятила медицині, поєднавши успішну лікарську практику, наукову діяльність, викладання та управління у сфері охорони здоров’я. Її професійний шлях охоплює роботу в урядових органах, зокрема у Міністерстві охорони здоров’я України, на кафедрі акушерства, гінекології та репродуктології НМАПО ім. П. Л. Шупика, участь у міжнародних проєктах, розвиток програм громадського здоров’я та керівництво провідними приватними медичними закладами України на посаді медичного директора. Сьогодні, обіймаючи посаду медичного директора мережі SMART Medical Center та продовжуючи розвивати приватну медицину в Україні, вона залишається прикладом сучасного лідерства, професійної відповідальності та відданості своїй справі.

— Пані Марино, раді вітати Вас на сторінках міжнародного журналу MILLENIUM CLUB. Ваше ім’я сьогодні асоціюється з професіоналізмом, лідерством і багаторічною відданістю медицині. Озираючись на свій шлях, які події, рішення та люди відіграли ключову роль у Вашому становленні як лікаря, науковця та управлінця?

— Люди, яких зустрічаємо на життєвому шляху, мають визначальне значення. Я дуже щаслива людина, адже мій головний скарб в цьому житті — мої вчителі. Вдячність до них я несу все життя у своєму серці. Серед них — Віктор Олександрович Решетняк, кандидат медичних наук; Юрій Петрович Вдовиченко, доктор медичних наук, член-кореспондент НАМН України; В’ячеслав Володимирович Камінський, доктор медичних наук, професор, академік НАМН України. Саме вони допомогли зробити перші кроки в медицині, опанувати мистецтво акушерської допомоги, оперативну гінекологію, шлях в науково-викладацьку діяльність. Це були складні роки кропіткої щоденної праці в командах заради результату. Медицина — це завжди робота в команді, де кожен відіграє свою важливу роль.

— За роки професійної діяльності Ви успішно поєднали клінічну практику, науку, державне управління та медичний менеджмент. Що допомагає Вам знаходити баланс між цими напрямами та залишатися ефективною в кожному з них?

— Відповідь полягає в тому, що на певному проміжку свого життя я обрала шлях серця і все життя займаюся виключно тим, що люблю. Медицина — це моє життя у всіх його проявах. Кожна з ланок управлінської, лікувально-практичної та викладацької діяльності — це як грані діаманта, над кожною з яких потрібно попрацювати для досягнення цілісності. І ця робота триває усе життя. Секрет ефективності полягає в тому, щоб ніколи не зупинятися на досягнутих результатах та постійно працювати над підвищенням свого професіоналізму. Важливо залишатися відкритим до змін та бути націленим на навчання та впровадження сучасних ефективних моделей медичної допомоги. Також важливо легко відпускати те, що вже не працює та втратило актуальність.

— Значна частина Вашої кар’єри була пов’язана з реалізацією державних і міжнародних програм у сфері громадського здоров’я. Які досягнення цього етапу вважаєте найбільш значущими для української медицини?

— Багато років було присвячено роботі в сфері протидії ВІЛ-інфекції, СНІДу та наркозалежності. Важливою складовою стала участь у реалізації державної політики, що дало змогу створити та впровадити в Україні програми антиретровірусної терапії, замісної підтримувальної терапії для ВІЛ-інфікованих споживачів ін’єкційних наркотиків і програми попередження передачі ВІЛ від матері до дитини. Сьогодні це вже звична медична рутина, яка колись була мрією, що стала реальністю завдяки роботі команди однодумців, які вміють втілювати задуми в життя.

— Як медичний директор великої медичної мережі, що Ви вважаєте головною запорукою довіри пацієнтів та успішного розвитку медичного закладу в сучасних умовах?

— Якісна клієнтоорієнтовна модель інтегрованих медичних послуг. Важливо забезпечити безперешкодний доступ до якісної медицини із застосуванням сучасних медичних технологій. Багатопрофільность є важливою складовою комфорту пацієнтів, особливо в умовах сьогодення. Але головне — любити людей і спиратися на професійні команди. Насправді все роблять однодумці, які поділяють спільні цінності та прагнуть саме в Україні сформувати найкращі моделі сучасної медицини.

— Ви багато років займаєтеся підготовкою молодих фахівців. Які якості сьогодні, на Вашу думку, є визначальними для лікаря нового покоління?

— Перш за все бажання працювати лікарем і розуміння всіх важливих складових становлення особистості в медичній сфері: здатність наполегливо навчатися протягом тривалого часу, стресостійкість, готовність брати на себе відповідальність, вміння працювати із сучасним обладнанням та використовувати можливості штучного інтелекту в медицині. Обов’язково мати прагнення до постійного саморозвитку та ефективної взаємодії в колективі.

— Ви присвятили медицині значну частину свого життя. Що надихає Вас сьогодні, які цілі ставите перед собою та про що мрієте як професіонал і як жінка?

— Мене надихають практичні результати власної діяльності, побудова сталих систем у сфері охороні здоров’я, професійний шлях, пройдений разом з однодумцями, дружба, пронесена крізь життя. Наповнює любов до України. Адже ми вдома продовжуємо будувати та створювати реальність такою, якою хочемо її бачити. Украйна — це МИ всі та кожен із нас.

Як жінка, я хочу надалі допомагати народжуватися довгоочікуваним дітям і бачити щасливі родини. Це мої найбільші досягнення та мірило успіху на моєму багаторічному професійному шляху, які ціную найбільше. Любити та вчити — це дві милості Божі. В мене все це є. Я вдячна Всесвіту за все, що є моєму житті.

Maryna Zelenska: “For me, medicine is responsibility, professionalism, respect for life, and love for my profession, carried throughout my life”

For more than a quarter of a century, Maryna Zelenska has devoted herself to medicine, combining successful medical practice, scientific activity, teaching and management in the field of healthcare. Her professional path includes work in government agencies, in particular in the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine of the P. L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, participation in international projects, and development of public healthcare programmes and management of leading private medical institutions of Ukraine as a medical director. Today, holding the position of medical director of the SMART Medical Center network and continuing to develop private medicine in Ukraine, she remains an example of modern leadership, professional responsibility and dedication to her profession.

— Mrs. Maryna, we are glad to welcome you to the pages of the international magazine MILLENIUM CLUB. Your name is today associated with professionalism, leadership and long-term dedication to medicine. Looking back on your path, what events, decisions and people played a key role in your development as a doctor, scientist and manager?

— The people we meet on our life’s journey are of decisive importance. I am a very happy person, because my main treasure in this life is my teachers. I carry gratitude to them in my heart all my life. Among them are Viktor Reshetniak, Candidate of Medical Sciences; Yurii Vdovychenko, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine; Viacheslav Kaminskii, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. It was they who helped me take my first steps in medicine, master the art of obstetric care, operative gynaecology, and the path to scientific and teaching activities. These were difficult years of painstaking daily work in teams for the sake of results. Medicine is always teamwork, where everyone plays their important role.

— Over the years of your professional career, you have successfully combined clinical practice, science, public administration, and medical management. What helps you find a balance between these areas and remain effective in each of them?

— The answer is that at a certain point in my life I chose the path of my heart and have been doing only what I love all my life. Medicine is my life in all its manifestations. Each of the links of management, medical practice and teaching activities is like the facets of a diamond, each of which needs to be worked on to achieve integrity. And this work continues throughout all my life. The secret of effectiveness is to never stop at the achieved results and constantly work on improving my professionalism. It is important to remain open to change and be focused on learning and implementing modern effective models of medical care. It is also important to easily let go of what no longer works and has lost relevance.

— A significant part of your career has been associated with the implementation of state and international programmes in the field of public health. What achievements of this stage do you consider the most significant for Ukrainian medicine?

— Many years have been devoted to work in the field of combating HIV infection, AIDS and drug addiction. An important component has been participation in the implementation of state policy, which has made it possible to create and implement in Ukraine programmes of antiretroviral therapy, substitution maintenance therapy for HIV-infected injection drug users and programmes to prevent HIV transmission from mother to child. Today, this is a familiar medical routine, which was once a dream, which became a reality thanks to the work of a team of like-minded people who know how to bring ideas to life.

— As the medical director of a large medical network, what do you consider to be the main key to patient trust and the successful development of a medical institution in modern conditions?

— A high-quality, client-oriented model of integrated medical services. It is important to ensure unhindered access to quality medicine using modern medical technologies. Multidisciplinary is an important component of patient comfort, especially in today’s conditions. But the main thing is to love people and rely on professional teams. In fact, everything is done by like-minded people who share common values and strive to form the best models of modern medicine in Ukraine.

— You have been training young specialists for many years. What qualities do you think are crucial for a new generation of doctors today?

— First of all, the desire to work as a doctor and an understanding of all the important components of personal development in the medical field: the ability to study hard for a long time, stress resistance, willingness to take responsibility, the ability to work with modern equipment and use the capabilities of artificial intelligence in medicine. It is imperative to have a desire for constant self-development and effective interaction in the team.

— You have dedicated a significant part of your life to medicine. What inspires you today, what goals do you set for yourself, and what do you dream of as a professional and as a woman?

— I am inspired by the practical results of my own activities, the construction of sustainable systems in the field of healthcare, the professional path traveled together with like-minded people, the friendship carried through life. I am filled with love for Ukraine. After all, at home we continue to build and create reality as we want to see it. Ukraine is WE, all of us and each of us.

As a woman, I want to continue to help long-awaited children be born and see happy families. These are my greatest achievements and the measure of success in my many years of professional life, which I value the most. Loving and teaching are two graces of God. I have it all. I am grateful to the Universe for everything that is in my life.
