Руслана Найда — професор, доктор наук, засновниця Українського інституту дитинства — першого та єдиного закладу освіти, який комплексно підходить до вивчення дитинства як основи успішного майбутнього людини та країни.

— Яка була основна мотивація для відкриття першого в Україні Українського інституту дитинства? Яку ідею він втілює?
— Ідея відкрити перший в Україні Український інститут дитинства народилася у мого наставника, колеги та друга Володимира Воронова, який відродив віру у те, що успішне майбутнє держави лежить через щасливе дитинство.
На другому році війни ми з командою зрозуміли, що критично назріло питання щодо збереження фізичного та ментального здоров’я наших дітей, забезпечення їхнього безпечного дитинства в умовах, в яких вони перебувають.
— Яке головне завдання зараз стоїть перед командою співробітників Українського інституту дитинства?
— Натепер та у повоєнний час надважливо якомога швидше відбудувати систему дошкільної освіти, зокрема заклади дошкільної освіти, які були знищені під час війни, а також повернути усіх українських дітей, які були змушені виїхати за кордон або внутрішньо переміститися в іншу частину країни, задля їхнього щасливого дитинства. Водночас ми розробляємо освітні матеріали як для дітей, так і для педагогів з урахуванням запиту сучасного суспільства.
Саме такі цілі я з командою ставимо сьогодні в Українському інституті дитинства. Зараз ми спільно із вихователями закладів дошкільної освіти в Центрі підвищення кваліфікації та фахового вдосконалення, як структурного підрозділу Інституту, працюємо над розробкою проєктів, програм для дітей раннього та дошкільного віку.
— Як відкриття Кваліфікаційного центру сприятиме вирішенню питання кадрового забезпечення у галузі дошкільної освіти?
— Задля збільшення кваліфікованих педагогічних кадрів, які зможуть працювати у закладах дошкільної освіти, було акредитовано структурний підрозділ інститут — Кваліфікаційний центр, який уповноважений присвоювати професійні кваліфікації «вихователь» та «нянька». Бажаючі здають іспит, який складається з двох частин: теоретичної та практичної. У разі позитивних результатів — отримують свідоцтво про присвоєння професійної кваліфікації, що надає право працювати з дітьми раннього та дошкільного віку. В такий спосіб ми зможемо подолати кадрову кризу у галузі дошкільної освіти та догляду і піклування за дітьми.
Надзвичайно приємно сьогодні відзначити суголосність і спільність із державним та приватним секторами, які дотичні до дошкільної освіти, у докладанні зусиль до просвітницької кампанії щодо проблем у дошкільній освіті.
— Яке колаборативне партнерство важливе для успішної реалізації місії Українського інституту дитинства?
— Глибоко переконана, що Український інститут дитинства спільно з іншими закладами освіти є і буде на передовій у вирішенні питань розбудови дошкільної освіти.
Сердечно запрошую меценатів і донорів долучитися до важливої справи — створення щасливого дитинства для кожної української дитини, адже дитинство — це час, коли мрії народжуються, а крила міцнішають.

RUSLANA NAIDA: “A HAPPY CHILDHOOD IS THE KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL STATE”

Ruslana Naida is a professor, doctor of science, founder of the Ukrainian Institute of Childhood, the first and only educational institution that takes a comprehensive approach to the study of childhood as the basis for a successful future for a person and a country.

— What was the main motivation for opening the first Ukrainian Institute of Childhood in Ukraine? What idea does it embody?
— The idea to open the first Ukrainian Institute of Childhood in Ukraine came from my mentor, colleague and friend Volodymyr Voronov, who revived the belief that the successful future of the state lies in a happy childhood.
In the second year of the war, my team and I realised that the issue of preserving the physical and mental health of our children and ensuring their safe childhood in the conditions they are living in was critically important.
— What is the main task facing the team of the Ukrainian Institute of Childhood now?
— At present and in the post-war period, it is crucial to rebuild the pre-school education system as soon as possible, including pre-schools that were destroyed during the war, and to return all Ukrainian children who were forced to go abroad or internally displaced to another part of the country for their happy childhood. At the same time, we are developing educational materials for both children and teachers, taking into account the needs of modern society.
These are the goals that my team and I are setting today at the Ukrainian Institute of Childhood. We are currently working together with educators of preschool education institutions at the Centre for Advanced Training and Professional Development, as a structural unit of the Institute, to develop projects and programmes for young children and preschoolers.
— How will the opening of the Qualification Centre contribute to solving the issue of staffing in the field of preschool education?
— In order to increase the number of qualified teachers who can work in pre-school education institutions, the Institute’s structural unit, the Qualification Centre, was accredited to award the professional qualifications of ‘educator’ and ‘nanny’. Applicants take an exam, which consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. If the results are positive, they receive a certificate of professional qualification, which gives them the right to work with children of early and preschool age. In this way, we will be able to overcome the staffing crisis in the field of preschool education and childcare.
It is extremely pleasant today to note the unanimity and commonality with the public and private sectors related to preschool education in making efforts to the educational campaign on problems in preschool education.
— What collaborative partnerships are important for the successful implementation of the Ukrainian Institute of Childhood’s mission?
— I am deeply convinced that the Ukrainian Institute of Childhood, together with other educational institutions, is and will be at the forefront of solving issues of developing preschool education.
