Є люди, чий професійний масштаб визначається не лише науковими званнями, кількістю публікацій чи нагород. Їхній справжній внесок — у науковій школі, яку вони створили, учнях, яких виховали, та змінах, які залишилися в професії. Саме такою постаттю в українській стоматології є доктор медичних наук, професор, Заслужений діяч науки і техніки України Галина Федорівна Білоклицька.
Її ім’я нерозривно пов’язане з розвитком української пародонтології. Після закінчення Одеського медичного інституту вона розпочала роботу в Одеському науково-дослідному інституті стоматології, де пройшла шлях від молодшого наукового співробітника до провідного науковця та завідувачки відділу захворювань пародонту. У 1996 році захистила докторську дисертацію, а згодом їй було присвоєно звання професора. Її наукові дослідження сформували вагомий напрям у вивченні патогенезу, діагностики, профілактики та лікування захворювань пародонта.
У 2003 році Галина Білоклицька очолила кафедру терапевтичної стоматології НМАПО імені П. Л. Шупика. Під її керівництвом було захищено 19 кандидатських і дві докторські дисертації, а її учні сьогодні працюють у закладах вищої освіти та практичній стоматології України.
Проте особливе місце в її професійній історії посідає подія 2006 року — створення Всеукраїнської громадської організації «Асоціація лікарів-пародонтологів України».
Саме цей факт принципово важливо зберегти в історії української стоматології. АЛПУ була першою в Україні професійною організацією, створеною для розвитку пародонтології та об’єднання лікарів-пародонтологів. Її засновницею стала професор Галина Білоклицька, яка була президентом Асоціації до жовтня 2025 року. Протягом усіх цих років її неодноразово переобирали самі лікарі-стоматологи, навіть тоді, коли Галина Федорівна намагалася передати керівництво своїй учениці.
Асоціація стала значно більшою, ніж просто громадське об’єднання. Вона створювала професійне середовище, у якому українські лікарі отримували доступ до сучасних знань, міжнародного досвіду та нових підходів до лікування. У 2013 році АЛПУ стала асоціативним членом Європейської федерації пародонтологів (EFP), відкривши для української професійної спільноти нові можливості міжнародної інтеграції.
Для Галини Федорівни розвиток Асоціації був не самоціллю. Значно важливішим було сформувати в Україні повноцінну професійну спеціальність. Багато років на конференціях, професійних форумах і з’їздах стоматологів порушувалося питання необхідності офіційного введення пародонтології до номенклатури лікарських спеціальностей.
У 2021 році ця багаторічна робота дала історичний результат: в Україні було офіційно введено спеціалізацію «пародонтологія» та професійну кваліфікацію «лікар-пародонтолог». Професор Білоклицька розробила навчальну програму спеціалізації, яка стала основою відповідної освітньої підготовки на кафедрі терапевтичної стоматології НУОЗ України імені П. Л. Шупика.
Паралельно розвивався і просвітницький напрям. За участю професора у 2017 році було підтримано запрошення Європейської федерації пародонтологів до співпраці та започатковано «Європейський День здоров’я ясен», що поєднав професійну освіту з турботою про пацієнтів.
Науковий доробок Галини Білоклицької — майже 400 праць, серед яких підручники й навчальні посібники, методичні рекомендації, авторські свідоцтва та патенти. Її наукова діяльність охоплює проблеми пародонтології, діагностики, профілактики та лікування захворювань пародонта.
Але найважливіший її здобуток — наукова школа української пародонтології. Її учні продовжують наукову і педагогічну традицію, розвивають пародонтологію, працюють у медичних університетах та практичній стоматології. Сформована професором школа стала середовищем, у якому наукові знання передаються від учителя до наступного покоління, а її послідовники продовжують розвивати започатковані нею напрями.
У жовтні 2023 року професор підтримала ініціативу ректора НУОЗ України імені П. Л. Шупика щодо завершення своєї роботи на посаді завідувачки кафедри та переходу на посаду професора. Передаючи керівництво молодшому поколінню, вона не залишила науку. Сьогодні, перебуваючи за кордоном, Галина Федорівна продовжує працювати з аспірантами кафедри, є науковим керівником трьох дисертаційних робіт на здобуття ступеня доктора філософії та бере участь у міжнародній науковій діяльності. У 2025 році вона стала членом Європейської медичної асоціації (Бельгія) та продовжила виступати на міжнародних конгресах.
У 2025 році АЛПУ стала частиною нового етапу розвитку: професор підтримала її об’єднання з Українською академією пародонтології. На установчих зборах Української асоціації пародонтології та остеоінтеграції Галину Білоклицьку визнано почесним засновником-фундатором.
У цьому — особлива символіка її професійного шляху. Те, що було започатковано у 2006 році, продовжує жити вже в новому форматі.
Її кредо — «Творити та перемагати!», а головний девіз — «Все залишається людям!».
І сьогодні особливо важливо, щоб нове покоління лікарів знало: розвиток української пародонтології має свою історію, своїх фундаторів і свої точки відліку. Однією з них, безумовно, став 2006 рік — рік створення першої в Україні Асоціації лікарів-пародонтологів України, заснованої професором Галиною Федорівною Білоклицькою.
Саме з таких рішень починається професійна школа. І саме так формується наукова спадщина, яка залишається людям.
Halyna Biloklytska: to create, win and leave behind a scientific school of Ukrainian periodontics
Тhere are people whose professional scale is determined not only by scientific titles, the number of publications or awards. Their real contribution is in the scientific school they created, the students they educated and the changes that remained in the profession. Such a figure in Ukrainian dentistry is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Halyna Biloklytska.
Her name is inextricably linked with the development of Ukrainian periodontics. After graduating from the Odessa Medical Institute, she began working at the Odessa Research Institute of Dentistry, where she advanced from Junior Researcher to a Leading Researcher and Head of the Department of Periodontal Diseases. In 1996, she defended her doctoral thesis, and later she was awarded the title of Professor. Her scientific research formed a significant direction in the study of the pathogenesis, diagnostics, prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases.
In 2003, Halyna Biloklytska became the head of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry at the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Under her research supervision, 19 PhD and two Doctor of Sciences theses were successfully defended, and her students now are currently working in higher education institutions and practical dentistry across Ukraine.
However, a special place in her professional history belongs to the event of 2006 – the creation of the All-Ukrainian Public Organisation “Association of Periodontists of Ukraine”.
It is this specific fact that is crucially important to preserve in the history of Ukrainian dentistry. The APU was the first professional organisation in Ukraine established to develop periodontics and unite periodontists. Its founder was Professor Halyna Biloklytska, who served as the President of the Association until October 2025. Throughout all these years, she was repeatedly re-elected by the dentists themselves, even when Mrs. Halyna attempted to hand over leadership to her student.
The Association has become much more than just a public association. It was creating a professional environment, in which Ukrainian doctors have access to modern knowledge, international experience and new approaches to treatment. In 2013, APU became an associate member of the European Federation of Periodontists (EFP), opening up new opportunities for international integration for the Ukrainian professional community.
For Mrs. Halyna, the development of the Association was not an end in itself. It was much more important to form a full-fledged professional speciality in Ukraine. For many years, the issue of the need to officially introduce periodontics into the nomenclature of medical specialities has been raised at conferences, professional forums and congresses of dentists.
In 2021, this long-term work yielded a historic result: the specialisation “periodontics” and the professional qualification “periodontist” were officially introduced in Ukraine. Professor Biloklytska developed a specialisation curriculum, which became the basis of the corresponding educational training at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of the P. L. Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine.
The educational direction also was developing in parallel. With the participation of the professor, in 2017, the invitation of the European Federation of Periodontists for cooperation was supported and the “European Gum Health Day” was launched, which combined professional education with patient care.
Halyna Biloklytska’s scientific contribution numbers almost 400 works, including textbooks and training manuals, methodological recommendations, author’s certificates and patents. Her scientific activities cover the problems of periodontics, diagnostics, prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases.
But her most important achievement is the scientific school of Ukrainian periodontics. Her students continue the scientific and pedagogical tradition, develop periodontics, and work in medical universities and practical dentistry. The school formed by the professor has become an environment in which scientific knowledge is passed on from the teacher to the next generation, and her followers continue to develop the areas she initiated.
In October 2023, the professor supported the initiative of the rector of the P. L. Shupyk National University of Health Sciences of Ukraine to complete her work as Head of the Department and move to the position of Professor. Handing over leadership to the younger generation, she did not leave science. Today, while being abroad, Mrs. Halyna continues to work with graduate students of the department, is the PhD Supervisor of three applicants, and participates in international scientific activity. In 2025, she became a member of the European Medical Association (Belgium) and continued to speak at international congresses.
In 2025, APU became part of a new stage of development: the professor supported its unification with the Ukrainian Academy of Periodontics. At the constituent meeting of the Ukrainian Association of Periodontics and Osseointegration, Halyna Biloklytska was recognised as an honorary founder.
This is a special symbolism of her professional path. What was started in 2006 continues to live on in a new format.
Her credo is “Create and win!”, and the main motto is “Everything remains for people!”
And today it is especially important for the new generation of doctors to know: the development of Ukrainian periodontics has its own history, its founders and its starting points. One of them, of course, was 2006 – the year of the creation of the first Association of Periodontists of Ukraine, founded by Professor Halyna Biloklytska.
It is with such decisions that a professional school begins. And this is how the scientific heritage that remains for people is formed.
