Новим важливим етапом громадянського шляху Ольги Барбен стала участь у UWC Global Summit 2026, що відбувся на початку червня в Берні.

Цей міжнародний захід об’єднав понад 300 представників українських громад приблизно з 50 країн світу. Головною метою саміту стало посилення уваги до найважливіших питань, пов’язаних із підтримкою України під час війни та її майбутньою відбудовою.

Учасники говорили про міжнародну адвокацію, військову допомогу, санкційний тиск на Росію, підтримку українських захисників, залучення інвестицій, відновлення міст і громад, роль діаспори, розвиток українських організацій за кордоном, збереження мови, освіту молоді та формування нового покоління лідерів.

Окреме місце у програмі посідала культурна дипломатія — підтримка українських митців, популяризація національного мистецтва й формування правдивого міжнародного образу України.

Для Ольги Барбен цей захід став підтвердженням того, що українці в різних країнах світу мають не лише демонструвати солідарність, а об’єднуватися навколо конкретних дій. Особливо символічною стала зустріч із Юлією Паєвською — українською парамедикинею, військовою волонтеркою та громадською діячкою. Засновниця добровольчого медичного підрозділу «Янголи Тайри» з 2014 року рятувала поранених, працювала медиком під час Революції Гідності, допомагала цивільним і військовим у Маріуполі, пережила російський полон і після звільнення продовжила представляти Україну у світі.

Безпосереднє спілкування з людьми, які щодня бачать війну без фільтрів і прикрас, стало для Ольги Барбен внутрішнім поштовхом до важливого рішення.

A new and significant chapter in Olha Barben’s public activity began with her participation in the UWC Global Summit 2026, held in early June in Bern, Switzerland.
The international forum brought together more than 300 representatives of Ukrainian communities from approximately 50 countries. Its primary objective was to strengthen global attention to the most pressing issues surrounding Ukraine during the ongoing war and its future reconstruction.
Participants discussed international advocacy, military assistance, sanctions against Russia, support for Ukrainian defenders, investment opportunities, the rebuilding of cities and communities, the role of the Ukrainian diaspora, the development of Ukrainian organizations abroad, the preservation of language and education, and the formation of a new generation of leaders.
A special place within the summit’s agenda was devoted to cultural diplomacy—supporting Ukrainian artists, promoting national culture, and shaping an authentic international image of Ukraine.
For Olha Barben, the summit became much more than another international event. It reaffirmed her belief that Ukrainians living in different parts of the world must do more than demonstrate solidarity—they must unite around meaningful action.

Among the participants were Yuliia Paievska («Taira»), the legendary combat medic and volunteer; Oleksandr Koba, commander of the reconnaissance company of the 433rd Separate Battalion of Unmanned Systems named after the Heroes of Kruty; and Colonel Ivan Kovalchuk, Head of International Cooperation of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine «Khartiia.»
They spoke openly about the reality of the front line, the rapidly evolving drone warfare, the daily challenges faced by Ukrainian defenders, the urgent needs of military units, and the critical importance of continued international support.
One of the most emotional moments for Olha was meeting Yuliia Paievska, widely known as Taira.
Founder of the volunteer medical unit Taira’s Angels, she has been saving lives since 2014. She served as a combat medic during the Revolution of Dignity, evacuated wounded civilians and soldiers from Mariupol, endured Russian captivity, and, after her release, continued representing Ukraine on international platforms while advocating for those who defend the country.
Listening to people who witness the war every single day—not through reports, but through lived experience—became a turning point for Olha.
