Іван Данилюк — представник академічної еліти, який формує інституційну та методологічну архітектуру сучасної психологічної науки в Україні. Його діяльність охоплює фундаментальні дослідження, освітню політику, стандартизацію підготовки фахівців та інтеграцію української психології в міжнародний науковий простір.
Здобув фахову освіту в Київському національному університеті імені Тараса Шевченка за спеціальністю «психологія». У 1998 році захистив кандидатську дисертацію, у 2010-му — докторську, сформувавши теоретичні засади етнічної психології як окремого напряму наукових досліджень.

Академічна кар’єра в КНУ імені Тараса Шевченка є послідовною вертикаллю управлінського та наукового зростання — від викладача до керівника факультету. З 2012 року обіймає посаду декана факультету психології. Раніше працював на ключових адміністративних посадах, зокрема завідувача кафедри загальної психології та заступника декана факультету. Сьогодні поєднує управлінську, наукову та викладацьку діяльність як професор кафедри експериментальної та прикладної психології.
Наукові інтереси охоплюють етнокультурну, соціальну та психологію особистості, а також дослідження психології кризових станів суспільства. Автор понад 280 наукових і навчально-методичних праць, зокрема монографій та статей у провідних міжнародних рецензованих виданнях. Серед них — публікації у Journal of Affective Disorders, Psychological Medicine, Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, European Journal of Social Psychology та American Psychologist, що забезпечують інтеграцію українських досліджень у глобальний академічний дискурс з питань психічного здоров’я, поведінкових реакцій і соціальної адаптації в умовах криз.
Учасник масштабних міжнародних кроскультурних дослідницьких програм, зокрема PsyCorona, а також досліджень поведінкових моделей прийняття рішень щодо вакцинації у багатонаціональних вибірках. У співпраці з USAID долучився до розробки професіограми судді на основі психологічних компетентнісних моделей.
На рівні державної політики очолював підкомісію зі спеціальності «Психологія», відповідальну за розробку стандартів вищої освіти для бакалаврського, магістерського та докторського рівнів. Як президент Української психологічної асоціації координує професійну спільноту та бере участь у формуванні національних галузевих стандартів.
Активний учасник наукового управління та редакційної політики: головний редактор фахового видання «Вісник Київського національного університету. Серія: Психологія», член редакційних колегій наукових журналів та редактор колективних монографій і наукових збірників.
Залучений до публічної експертної діяльності та національних програм із ментального здоров’я, включно з державними ініціативами та медійними проєктами. Представляє експертну позицію в контексті розвитку системи психологічної допомоги та підтримки населення в умовах війни.
Відзначений державними та академічними нагородами, зокрема Кабінету Міністрів України, Міністерства освіти і науки України, Національної академії педагогічних наук України та Київського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка.
Іван Данилюк працює на перетині науки, державної політики та освіти, формуючи довгострокову інституційну основу розвитку психології як стратегічної галузі знання в Україні.

Іvan Danyliuk is a leading figure in the academic community who is shaping the institutional and methodological framework of modern psychological science in Ukraine. His work encompasses fundamental research, educational policy, the standardisation of professional training, and the integration of Ukrainian psychology into the international academic community.
He obtained his professional education at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, majoring in psychology. In 1998, he defended his PhD thesis, and in 2010 his doctoral thesis, establishing the theoretical foundations of ethnic psychology as a distinct field of scientific research.

Academic career at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is a consistent vertical of managerial and scientific growth – from a teacher to the head of the faculty. Since 2012, he has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Psychology. Previously, he worked in key administrative positions, in particular, Head of the Department of General Psychology and Deputy Dean of the Faculty. Today, he combines managerial, scientific and teaching activities as a professor of the Department of Experimental and Applied Psychology.
His research interests encompass ethnocultural, social and personality psychology, as well as the study of the psychology of societal crises. He is the author of over 280 academic and educational works, including monographs and articles in leading international peer-reviewed journals. These include publications in the Journal of Affective Disorders, Psychological Medicine, Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, the European Journal of Social Psychology and the American Psychologist, which ensure the integration of Ukrainian research into the global academic discourse on mental health, behavioural responses and social adaptation in times of crisis.
He is a participant in large-scale international cross-cultural research programmes, including PsyCorona, as well as studies of behavioural decision-making patterns regarding vaccination in multinational samples. In collaboration with USAID, he contributed to the development of a job profile for judges based on psychological competency models.
At the level of state policy, he chaired the subcommittee on ‘Psychology’, responsible for developing higher education standards for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. As president of the Ukrainian Psychological Association, he coordinates the professional community and participates in the formulation of national sectoral standards.
He is an active contributor to academic governance and editorial policy: he serves as editor-in-chief of the specialist journal “Bulletin of Kyiv National University. Series: Psychology”, is a member of the editorial boards of academic journals, and edits collective monographs and academic anthologies.
He is involved in public expert activities and national mental health programmes, including government initiatives and media projects. He provides expert input on the development of psychological support systems for the population in wartime conditions.
He has received state and academic honours, including awards from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
