Сучасна українська адвокатура проходить один із найважливіших етапів свого становлення. У період, коли країна виборює свою незалежність, саме правова система стає фундаментом стабільності, справедливості та захисту прав громадян. У цьому процесі особливу роль відіграють лідери, здатні не лише адаптуватися до нових умов, а й забезпечувати розвиток професії. Серед них — Тетяна ЛЕЩЕНКО, голова Ради адвокатів Дніпропетровської області.

З перших днів повномасштабного вторгнення адвокатура регіону під її керівництвом продемонструвала високу організованість та готовність діяти в кризових умовах. Було оперативно вибудувано ефективний формат роботи, що дозволив не лише зберегти функціональність системи, а й розширити напрями підтримки як для адвокатів, так і для суспільства загалом.
Одним із ключових напрямів діяльності стала допомога Збройним Силам України. Завдяки ініційованим благодійним зборам вдалося забезпечити військових необхідним спорядженням — від бронежилетів до медичних аптечок, а також долучитися до придбання транспорту для фронту. Водночас Рада адвокатів активно співпрацювала з медичними фахівцями, організовуючи курси тактичної медицини, що стали вагомим внеском у підвищення рівня підготовки населення.
Особливу увагу було приділено підтримці адвокатів та їхніх родин, які опинилися у зоні активних бойових дій. Було створено всеукраїнську мережу взаємодопомоги, яка забезпечувала можливість безпечної евакуації, пошуку житла та працевлаштування. Для тих, хто тимчасово виїхав за кордон, організовували освітні програми, зокрема курси юридичної польської мови та консультаційну підтримку щодо професійної адаптації.
Попри надскладні умови — відсутність електроенергії, інтернету та стабільної інфраструктури — Рада адвокатів Дніпропетровської області не припиняла своєї діяльності. Завдяки досвіду, отриманому під час пандемії, команда змогла швидко адаптуватися до нових викликів і забезпечити безперервність роботи. У цих умовах було знайдено ефективні організаційні рішення, що дозволили зберегти якість надання правничої допомоги.
Паралельно із кризовим реагуванням продовжувався розвиток адвокатури як інституції. Було розширено освітні програми, запроваджено нові напрями підвищення кваліфікації, зокрема у сферах медицини та кібербезпеки. Активно працюють профільні комітети, серед яких особливу роль відіграють комітети захисту прав адвокатів і підвищення кваліфікації, що забезпечують професійний розвиток і захист інтересів фахівців.
Суттєвим досягненням стало створення сучасного простору для роботи адвокатів — професійного середовища, яке об’єднує, сприяє комунікації та підвищує ефективність взаємодії з клієнтами. Це ще один крок до формування сильної, незалежної та самоврядної адвокатської спільноти.
Окремо варто відзначити особистий професійний шлях Тетяни Лещенко як адвоката. Спеціалізуючись у кримінальному праві, вона досягла високих результатів у своїй практиці, демонструючи ефективність і відповідальність у захисті інтересів клієнтів. Її підхід ґрунтується на глибокому розумінні права, принципах справедливості та високих етичних стандартах.
Тетяна Лещенко переконана, що ключовим напрямом розвитку адвокатури є посилення гарантій професійної діяльності та захисту прав адвокатів. У контексті судової реформи саме ці аспекти мають стати пріоритетними, адже незалежна адвокатура є невід’ємною складовою демократичного суспільства.

The legal profession in the face of challenges: resilience, development and service to society

Тhe modern Ukrainian legal profession is currently undergoing one of the most crucial stages in its ongoing development. At a time when the country is fighting for its independence, it is the legal system that becomes the foundation of stability, justice and the protection of citizens’ rights. Leaders who are capable not only of adapting to new conditions but also of ensuring the profession’s development play a special role in this process. Among them is Tetiana LESHCHENKO, Chair of the Bar Council of Dnipropetrovsk Region.

From the very first days of the full-scale invasion, the region’s advocacy community, under her leadership, demonstrated a high level of organisation and readiness to act in crisis conditions. An effective working model was swiftly established, which not only allowed the system to remain functional but also expanded the scope of support for both lawyers and society as a whole.
One of the key areas of activity has been providing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to the charity fundraising initiatives launched, they have been able to supply the military with essential equipment—from body armour to first-aid kits—and to contribute to the purchase of transport for the front line. At the same time, the Bar Council actively collaborated with medical specialists, organising tactical medicine courses, which made a significant contribution to improving the level of public preparedness.
Particular attention was paid to supporting lawyers and their families who found themselves in the zone of active hostilities. A nationwide mutual aid network was established, providing opportunities for safe evacuation, finding accommodation and employment. For those who had temporarily left the country, educational programmes were organised, including courses in legal Polish and advisory support regarding professional adaptation.
Despite extremely difficult conditions—including a lack of electricity, internet access and stable infrastructure—the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Bar Council continued its work. Thanks to the experience gained during the pandemic, the team was able to adapt quickly to new challenges and ensure the continuity of its operations. Under these circumstances, effective organisational solutions were found, enabling the quality of legal aid provision to be maintained.
In parallel with the crisis response, the development of the legal profession as an institution continued. Educational programmes were expanded and new areas of professional development were introduced, particularly in the fields of medicine and cybersecurity. Specialist committees are actively working, with the committees on the protection of lawyers’ rights and professional development playing a key role in ensuring the professional development and protection of specialists’ interests.
A significant achievement has been the creation of a modern workspace for lawyers—a professional environment that brings people together, facilitates communication and enhances the effective interaction with clients. This is another step towards building a strong, independent and self-governing legal community.
Tetiana Leshchenko’s personal professional journey as a lawyer is particularly noteworthy. Specialising in criminal law, she has achieved outstanding results in her practice, demonstrating effectiveness and responsibility in defending her clients’ interests. Her approach is based on a deep understanding of the law, principles of justice and high ethical standards.
Tetiana Leshchenko is convinced that a key area for the development of the legal profession is strengthening the safeguards for professional practice and the protection of lawyers’ rights. In the context of judicial reform, these aspects should be given priority, as an independent legal profession is an integral part of a democratic society.
Today, the Ukrainian legal profession demonstrates resilience, unity and the capacity for development even under the most challenging conditions. Under the leadership of figures such as Tetiana Leshchenko, it continues on its path towards consolidation, professional growth and an enhanced role in society.
Her work is an example of responsible leadership, service to the profession and a contribution to the development of the rule of law. And it is precisely such people who are shaping Ukraine’s future today.
