— Пані Ольго, чому карти Таро досі викликають так багато суперечливих емоцій — від захоплення до страху?
— Таро вже багато століть оточене міфами. Хтось вважає їх магічним інструментом, інші — «забавкою», а дехто навіть — «диявольською спокусою». Але якщо відкинути стереотипи, стає зрозуміло: Таро — це насамперед мова символів і образів, яка допомагає людині пізнати себе та власне життя.

— Тобто Таро не пов’язане з якимись потойбічними силами?
— Ні. Таро працює з підсвідомістю. Саме цю сферу Карл Густав Юнг назвав колективним несвідомим. Символи карт відгукуються на архетипи, які є в кожній людині, тому розклади видаються «такими точними». Це не підключення до егрегора і не «угода з темними силами». Таро — інструмент для самопізнання, саморефлексії та прийняття рішень.

— Які міфи найчастіше заважають новачкам у роботі з картами?
— Є кілька поширених страхів:
Міф: «Без посвяти карти не працюватимуть».
Насправді ніякої «посвяти» не потрібно. Карти оживають у ваших руках, і їхня сила — у вашій свідомості та навичках, а не в магічних обрядах.
Міф: «Таро веде до егрегора, і він буде керувати життям».
Це неправда. Таро не прив’язує вас до жодних структур. Воно працює з вашими внутрішніми асоціаціями та архетипами.
Міф: «Колоду треба отримати тільки в подарунок».
Ви цілком можете купити карти самі. Важливо, щоб колода вам подобалася і відгукувалася внутрішньо.
Міф: «Таро відкриває двері до темних сил».
Цей страх має релігійне підґрунтя. Але карти — лише картон із малюнками. Вони не мають влади над людиною, якщо вона сама цього не дозволяє.
Міф: «Таролог бере на себе чужу карму та проблеми».
Карти лише відображають ситуацію. Таролог є провідником інформації, але не носієм чужих кармічних уроків.

— Тож як можна сформулювати правду про Таро в одному реченні?
— Таро — це не магія в темному сенсі, а мова символів, завдяки якій людина може зазирнути в глибини власної душі, краще зрозуміти себе, свій шлях і свої рішення.

— Mrs. Olha, why do Tarot cards still evoke such conflicting emotions — from admiration to fear?

— Tarot has been surrounded by myths for many centuries. Some consider it a magical tool, others a “toy,” and some even a “devilish temptation.” But if we put aside stereotypes, it becomes clear that Tarot is primarily a language of symbols and images that help people understand themselves and their own lives.
— So Tarot is not connected with any otherworldly forces?

— No. Tarot works with the subconscious. It is this sphere that Carl Gustav Jung called the collective unconscious. The symbols on the cards resonate with the archetypes that exist in every person, which is why the readings seem so accurate. It is not a connection to an egregore or a “pact with dark forces.” Tarot is a tool for self-knowledge, self-reflection, and decision-making.

— What myths most often hinder beginners in working with cards?

— There are a few common fears:
Myth: “The cards won’t work without initiation.”
In fact, no “initiation” is necessary. The cards come alive in your hands, and their power lies in your consciousness and skills, not in magical rituals.
Myth: “Tarot leads to the egregor, and it will guide your life.” This is not true. Tarot does not tie you to any structures. It works with your internal associations and archetypes.
Myth: “You should only receive a deck as a gift.”
Myth: “Tarot opens the door to dark forces.” This fear has a religious basis. But the cards are just cardboard with pictures on them. They have no power over a person unless they allow it.
Myth: “A tarot reader takes on someone else’s karma and problems.”
The cards only reflect the situation. A tarot reader is a conductor of information, but not a bearer of someone else’s karmic lessons.

— So how can we sum up the truth about Tarot in one sentence?

— Tarot is not magic in the dark sense, but a language of symbols through which a person can look into the depths of their own soul, better understand themselves, their path and their decisions.
